Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon

- •3 tbsp honey
- •2 tbsp soy sauce
- •4 cloves, minced garlic
- •1 tsp, grated fresh ginger
- •1 tbsp rice vinegar
- •1 tsp sesame oil
- •1 tbsp olive oil
- •1 tbsp, for garnish sesame seeds
- •3 stalks, sliced green onions
- •1 cut into wedges lemon

Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels. This is crucial for getting a good sear. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to make the glaze. Set aside.

Heat olive oil in a large non-stick or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. The pan should be very hot before adding the salmon.

Place salmon fillets skin-side up in the hot pan. Cook undisturbed for 4-5 minutes until a golden-brown crust forms. Flip carefully with a spatula.

Pour the honey garlic glaze over the salmon. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, spooning the glaze over the fillets repeatedly as it bubbles and thickens. The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork.

Transfer salmon to plates. Pour any remaining glaze from the pan over the top. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
